She studied with Prof. Arthur Jensen at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and with Prof. Günther Passin at the „Hochschule für Musik“ in Munic, Germany. Already at the beginning of her studies Clara Dent-Bogányi started winning international prizes, for example at the intern. ARD Competition in Munich and the Intern. Competition in Geneva (CIEM), which provided a spectacular start of her career. As a soloist and chamber musician she performed all over the world and had numerous solo and chamber music performances recorded for CD and radio. Her albums „Les Folies d`Espagne“ and „La Primadonna“ are highly praised by critics.
Being the principal oboist of the Radio-Symphony-Orchestra Berlin and member of the Oxford Philharmonic orchestra, she also plays as guest principal oboist with the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and many more. During her musical journey she worked with world known conductors as Zubin Mehta, Christian Thielemann, Kirill Petrenko and Franz Welser Möst.
In 2009 Clara Dent-Bogányi became Professor of Oboe at the „Hochschule für Musik“ in Nuremberg, Germany. She furthermore gives international Masterclasses and joins Festivals all over Europe and Asia. Clara Dent-Bogányis search for an instrument with a highly projecting, touching sound, combined with a refined even ton-scale led her to developing a new oboe Model together with the German oboe maker Ludwig Frank. The focus was also on an outstanding range of technical abilities. This new oboe model now carries her name (Model CD), is for sale since 2018 and already played all over the world.
